The Tier 2 and Tier 3 Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open) has been created by central government to help hospitality, hotel, bed & breakfast and leisure sector businesses that were not required to close due to local lockdown restrictions but have suffered significant losses as a result of the measures.
The council has been provided with a fixed grant from central government to make payments to small local businesses that remained open from September 22nd to November 4th 2020 during the Tier 2 and Tier 3 measures. The grant is targeted specifically at businesses in the hospitality, hotel, bed & breakfast and leisure sector with the payment based on the businesses within this scope. The amount made available for this scheme has been based on the businesses in hospitality, hotel, bed & breakfast and leisure sectors registered for business rates in Fylde, it is a limited fund for businesses most significantly impacted by restrictions that remained open.
Your business will not qualify for support under this scheme if it was in administration, insolvent or a striking off order was made at the time local restrictions started.
Businesses in the hospitality, hotel, bed & breakfast and leisure sectors that do not have a business rate account are not eligible for this grant scheme but may be able to apply for a discretionary grant under the Additional Restrictions Grant scheme.
How much is the grant and when will it be paid?
Government has announced the following funding tiers could be used for Local Authorities which are consistent with national payments made in other schemes and ensure that a business which remains open receives a grant proportionate to one that was required to close. There is no local economic need to deviate from the government guidance. The amount you get depends on the rateable value of your premises.
