The Connect to Work programme in Fylde and across Lancashire is a free, voluntary service funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) designed to help people in Lancashire overcome barriers to employment or stay in work through personalised, expert guidance. For businesses, it can help you build a stronger, more inclusive workforce, offering advice and guidance. Businesses can also partner with Connect to Work to get support that delivers access to a new pool of job-ready candidates or Improved staff retention and wellbeing at no cost to your business.

Whether you’re looking to start a new job, need support in your current role, or are planning to return to work after an absence, WorkWell can offer:
- Tailored 1 to 1 support from a dedicated Work and Health coach for anyone with a physical health and/or mental health condition
- The Work and Health Coach will support you in accessing specialist help, and also CV writing, access to job listings, recruitment events and interview support

Skills for Life and Growth
The Workers Educational Association (WEA) and Lancashire Combined County Authority (LCCA) have recently launched a Community Grants open funding round from August 2026 to July 2027.
The grant fund will enable local voluntary, Community, Faith & Social Enterprise organisations and Housing Associations across all 14 Lancashire districts to bid for funding to carry out projects in their localities, to mobilise disadvantaged or excluded unemployed and inactive residents to enable their progress towards further education and inclusive employment.
They are looking for new and innovative ways of engaging with residents, supporting them in further skills provision in line with Lancashire’s Strategic Priorities. This could be any Skills for provision on a tailored learning, unaccredited delivery model that suits the resident’s needs.
