The plan is ‘made’
On 24 May 2017 Fylde Borough Council agreed to make the Saint Anne’s on The Sea Neighbourhood Plan under 38A(4)(a) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. The Saint Anne’s on The Sea Neighbourhood Plan now forms part of the Development Plan for Fylde Borough Council.

Referendum Decision
A Referendum took place on Thursday 4 May 2017, the question posed to voters read:
Do you want Fylde Borough Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Saint Anne’s on The Sea to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?
90% of voters cast in favour of the Saint Anne’s on The Sea Neighbourhood Development Plan being ‘made’.
Examination
The Saint Anne’s on The Sea Neighbourhood Development Plan was independently examined by Mr John Slater in June 2016. The Independent Examiner’s Report is now available to view.
Following on from the Independent Examiner’s Report, and after careful consideration Fylde Council in agreement with Saint Anne’s on The Sea Town Council have taken the decision to accept the Examiner’s modifications, with the exception of one and proceed the Saint Anne’s on The Sea Neighbourhood Development Plan to Referendum.
Submission Consultation and Publicity
Saint Anne’s on The Sea Town Council submitted their Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documentation to the Local Planning Authority on 25 January 2016. A copy of the Submission Version of the Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documentation are available below:

The six week public consultation on the Submission Version of the Neighbourhood Plan commenced on 11 February 2016 and closed on 24 March 2016. The representations received to the consultation are available to view here.
Pre Submission Consultation and Publicity
St Anne’s Town Council are currently undertaking a six week public consultation on their Pre-Submission Neighbourhood Plan. The consultation commenced on 15 June 2015 and will close on 31 July 2015. The Pre-submission version of the Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents are available on the Town Council website.
Neighbourhood Area Application
St Anne’s Town Council submitted a Neighbourhood Area application to Fylde Borough Council. The application relates to the whole parish.
The public consultation on the Neighbourhood Area application closed on Thursday 6th June 2013. The Statement of Consultation provides a summary of all responses received.
The Neighbourhood Area was approved on the 12 July 2013.
