The Local Development Scheme (LDS) details the local planning policy documents that will comprise the Development Plan for Fylde. It has two key objectives:
- It informs the community and stakeholders of what Development Plan and planning policy documents the local planning authority intends to produce and sets out the status of these documents.
- It also outlines the details and timetable for the production of these documents.

The Council’s progress on the preparation of the emerging Local Plan to 2032 is reported each year in the Authority Monitoring Report.
