The government have recently introduced a legal requirement for councils to prepare, maintain and publish a register of brownfield land that is considered appropriate for residential development.
Brownfield land registers are in two parts:
- Part 1 is a list of brownfield sites that are considered appropriate for residential development;
- Part 2 consists of sites which have been taken forward from Part 1 of the register and granted permission in principle.
Fylde’s brownfield register can be viewed in two ways:
- It can be viewed here as a PDF.
- It can also be viewed here in a map format.
There are currently no Part 2 sites in the Fylde brownfield register. The brownfield register will be reviewed and updated annually.
