Support for Fylde residents

If you test positive for COVID-19 or are not fully vaccinated and are contacted by NHS Test and Trace, practical and financial support is available to you if needed.

If you need help

We want to make sure the residents of Fylde receive as much support as possible when self-isolating.

If you are contacted by NHS Test and Trace and told to self-isolate, we may be able to help with practical support, making it easier for you to stay at home. Make sure you pass on your contact details so that our practical support team can get in touch to discuss your needs and get you the support you require.

Who we can help

You may be eligible for practical support if:

  • you have been directly contacted by NHS Test and Trace and told to self-isolate
  • you have confirmed with NHS Test and Trace you require practical support to self-isolate
  • you have given permission for NHS Test and Trace to pass your contact details on to our practical support team

NHS Test and Trace will only instruct you to self-isolate if any of the following apply:

  • you have tested positive for COVID-19 regardless of your vaccination status or age
  • you are not fully vaccinated (received both jabs) and live with someone that has COVID-19 or have been a close contact of someone that has tested positive

What we can help with

There are a number of ways we can support you when self-isolating, making it easier for you to stay at home. Services that we can help with include:

  • food shopping
  • accessing medical supplies/prescriptions
  • walking your dog
  • making sure your children can get to and from school/nursery/child minders

If you are worried about anything that might make it difficult for you to follow the guidance in relation to self-isolation, please pass on your details to the NHS Test and Trace team when they contact you. Our practical support team will then contact you and discuss your needs to ensure you have access to the support you need.

Have your circumstances changed since NHS Test and Trace first contacted you?

You may not have required practical support when first contacted by NHS Test and Trace, however, circumstances can change.

If you are self-isolating and have been contacted by NHS Test and Trace and now require practical support, please get in touch with the Fylde Community Hub on 01253 658448 who will pass your contact details on to the practical support team.

The practical support team will then be in touch to discuss your needs and get you the support you require, making it easier for you to stay at home.

Test and Trace self-isolation payments

To assist people to self-isolate, the government has announced that individuals on low incomes will be entitled to a Test and Trace Support Payment of £500, if they meet certain criteria, in order to support them through their self-isolation period.
