Fylde residents have delivered a fantastic endorsement of their local Council, with 87% saying they’re satisfied with the overall service they receive – a jump from 84% in 2024.
The 2025 Residents Survey, which gathered views from over 1,000 participants, reveals that an impressive 95% of residents rate Fylde as a great place to live, with 96% saying it’s a wonderful place to visit. This fantastic endorsement comes after a year that saw the stunning transformation of St Annes Square, the inaugural Fylde Fest which brought residents and visitors together for a day of celebrations, and the launch of our innovative digital waste management system.
Residents particularly celebrated our frontline services, with refuse collection achieving a remarkable 96% satisfaction rate and our parks and open spaces delighting 94% of users. Our cemetery and crematorium services topped the charts at 97% satisfaction, while customer service teams earned praise from 87% of residents who contacted them. 78% of residents say they receive value for money from Fylde Council – up from 74% in 2024 – demonstrating that the Council continues to deliver high-quality services while maintaining financial efficiency.
The survey also highlighted areas where the Council has listened and improved, with planning services jumping from 56% to 61% satisfaction and building control soaring from 62% to 71% – clear evidence that ongoing improvements are making a real difference for residents and businesses.
Councillor Karen Buckley, Leader of Fylde Council, said: “These results demonstrate that our residents value the improvements being delivered across Fylde. They are a testament to the hard work of our teams and the dedication of councillors who advocate for their communities and help shape better services. We’re grateful for this strong vote of confidence and will keep building on this progress.”
