Fylde Council’s Community Wellbeing Fund is making a positive impact on local communities by supporting projects that address pressing social issues.

The fund, made possible through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, offers grants of up to £5,000 to community groups based in or serving Fylde residents.

Recent Grant Recipients:

Pot Bound Durose Studios: This innovative project will provide creative opportunities for neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ young people. By offering inclusive workshops and events, the studio aims to foster creativity, boost self-confidence, and strengthen community connections. The project will also engage young volunteers in planning, delivering, and marketing sessions, providing valuable skills and experience for their future.

Wesley’s Café and Larder Teaching Project: Building on the success of its initial project, Wesley’s will continue to address food insecurity and waste in the Fylde area. The grant will support the provision of free meals and cooking classes, empowering individuals to take control of their nutrition and reduce reliance on food banks.

Councillor Chris Dixon, the Lead Member for Social Wellbeing expressed his support for these initiatives: “I am delighted to see the positive impact of the Community Wellbeing Fund on our local communities.

“These projects are making a real difference by addressing important social issues and providing opportunities for residents of all ages.”
