Fylde Council is encouraging residents to make their voices heard in a major public consultation on a new waste strategy that will shape how rubbish and recycling is collected and managed across Lancashire for the next decade.

The Lancashire Waste Partnership’s draft strategy, ‘A Low Waste Lancashire 2026 to 2036’, sets out an ambitious vision for the future of waste collection, management and disposal services across the county. From Tuesday 30 June to Sunday 9 August, residents have the chance to share their views on the strategy’s vision, objectives and proposed actions – helping to ensure the final plan truly reflects what matters most to local communities.

Taking part couldn’t be easier – the online survey takes no more than ten minutes to complete, and every response will directly inform the final strategy, due to be published later in 2026. A summary and full draft of the strategy are also available to read ahead of completing the survey.

Councillor Michelle Morris, Lead Member for Customer and Operational Services, said: “We know how important an efficient waste collection is to our residents. This is a real opportunity for Fylde residents to help shape how waste is handled right across Lancashire for years to come. We want to hear from as many people as possible – your feedback genuinely makes a difference, so please do take ten minutes to have your say.”

Residents who need the survey in an alternative format are encouraged to get in touch with the Council directly.
