Beachgoers and visitors to two of Fylde’s most popular coastal spots can now access important safety information and local updates at the touch of a button, thanks to brand new digital screens installed by Fylde Council.
The vibrant new displays have been installed at St Annes Pier and Lytham RNLI Station, replacing the older models and providing residents and the thousands of visitors who flock to our beautiful coastline with real-time information that keeps them safe and informed. Whether you’re planning a swim and want to check bathing water quality, need to know the tide times, or want to find out about parking and exciting local events, the state-of-the-art screens will have you covered.
Supplied by Scanlite, the modern LED displays offer crystal clear visibility in all weather conditions and can be updated instantly with the latest information, ensuring beachgoers always have access to the most current and relevant details throughout the year, while enhancing communication of key safety information and local updates across the seafront.
A spokesperson for Fylde Council said: “These fantastic new screens are a brilliant addition to our seafront and will make such a difference to everyone enjoying our coastline. Having safety information like bathing water quality and tide times at your fingertips means families can enjoy the beach with confidence, and promoting local events helps everyone make the most of everything our vibrant coastal communities have to offer.”
Adam Carter, Sales Director at Scanlite, added: “We’re proud to support Fylde Council with the installation of our Totem Pro XL displays in such high-profile coastal locations. It’s great to see the screens being used not only to enhance visitor experience, but also to communicate important safety information to the public in a clear and engaging way.”
