Please note that from 1 November 2019 the opening hours of the recycling centre changed to 9am-5pm all year round.

The Household Waste Recycling Centre is operated by Lancashire County Council.

If you take inert waste (for example, soil and rubble, plasterboard, asbestos, tyres and gas bottles, amongst others) to the recycling centre you need a free permit from the 1st June 2015.

Information on the treatment of waste and details of your nearest Recycling centre can be found on the Lancashire County Council website.

All recycling centres in Lancashire are open 9am-5pm.

The HWRC’s are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Day.
