The period to give views on the proposed changes to Kirkham’s public realm – including the town’s historic Market Square and surrounding streets and open spaces – has been extended.
Urban design specialists The Paul Hogarth Company hosted a special public consultation event in the town centre last weekend.
Display boards were erected in Market Square, detailing proposed enhancements to the Square itself, together with new town centre road layouts, improvements to pavements, lighting, seating, as well as tree planting and the creation of public art.
The Paul Hogarth Company team gathered views from people who attended on the day. The public realm proposals can also be viewed online, and feedback submitted, here: www.kirkhamfutures.org/get-involved/ongoing
The consultation period has been extended to midnight on Sunday (October 3) to allow more people to submit their views.
A spokesman for The Paul Hogarth Company, who are carrying out the consultation, said: “Thank you for the feedback so far, the information we are receiving gives us really helpful insight.
“To ensure we give as many people as possible a chance to comment the consultation event is extending online until Sunday October 3.
“If you haven’t already commented, please take a look at the proposals and spend 5 minutes filling in the survey.”
