Six Fylde businesses have earned a place in the finals of the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2021, where they will compete against some of the greatest visitor economy businesses from across the county.
The awards, organised by Marketing Lancashire and sponsored this year by the University of Central Lancashire, aim to showcase achievement across numerous categories of tourism and hospitality ventures. Winners can expect a prestigious trophy, recognition of their success in what has been an exceptionally challenging few years for the sector, and the opportunity to represent Lancashire in the national Visit England Awards for Excellence.
The six finalists from the Fylde are:
- Lowther Pavilion, St Annes
- Mowbreck Holiday & Residential Park, Wesham
- Clifton Arms Hotel, Lytham
- Stanley Villa Farm Fishing & Camping, Greenhalgh
- Ream Hills Holiday Park, Weeton
- Windy Harbour Holiday Park, Thornton-Cleveleys
Each of the nominees will go forward to represent themselves and the Fylde before expert independent judging panels on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th December. The ultimate winners in each category are to be announced Wednesday 2nd February 2022, at a venue yet to be confirmed.
Councillor Michael Sayward, Chairman of Tourism & Leisure, said: “It’s an exciting time for businesses in Fylde and once again shows the exceptional tourism offering we have here with so many of these wonderful establishments being shortlisted.
I would like to wish them all the best of luck and look forward to finding out the results!”
