Project Overview

Fylde Council, working with LFRS, is auditing all multi-occupied residential buildings up to 11 m (approx. 3–4 storeys) to ensure compliance with current fire safety laws and best practice. The audit covers:

  • Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 (mainly for 11 m+ buildings)
  • Building Regulations Approved Document B (Vol. 1)
  • Relevant British Standards (e.g., BS 9991)

Audits will include reviewing:

  • Risk assessments
  • Fire door checks
  • Evacuation strategies
  • External wall reviews
