Hundreds of children across Fylde are set to enjoy free activities and food this Easter, as Fylde Council rolls out its spring Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, funded by the Department for Education.

Eligible families will receive a voucher by Monday 9 March, sent via email or text from hello@holidayactivities.com. Children aged 4 to 16 (Reception to Year 11) who qualify for benefits-related free school meals will automatically receive a code, which can be used to browse and book from a fantastic range of local holiday clubs through the dedicated booking platform.

With up to four days of free, fun-filled activities available over the Easter break, the programme is designed to keep children active, well-fed and engaged while giving families some much-needed support during the school holidays. Places can book up fast, so families are encouraged to register and secure their spot as soon as their voucher arrives, and to cancel promptly if plans change, so that no spaces go to waste.

Councillor Chris Dixon, Lead Member for Social Wellbeing, said: “The HAF programme is a brilliant opportunity for families across Fylde to make the most of the Easter holidays. We know that school breaks can be a challenging time for some households, and this programme ensures children can stay active, make new friends, and enjoy a good meal in a safe and welcoming environment. I’d encourage every eligible family to book their place as soon as their voucher arrives.”

Families who haven’t received a voucher by Friday 13 March but believe they are eligible should contact their child’s school in the first instance.
