Families across Fylde are invited to celebrate the start of spring with a fantastic free day out at Fairhaven Lake on Sunday 29 March.

Fairhaven Open Day returns for 2026 with something for everyone to enjoy. Visitors can be among the first to hop aboard motorboats or pedalos as they launch for the season, offering a fresh perspective of the beautiful lake and its surroundings. With the new Visitor Centre opening soon, the event is also a chance to find out all about the iconic pagoda building and its exciting makeover for 2026.

Throughout the day, resident clubs and community groups will be in action across the park and on the water, showcasing their activities and inviting newcomers to get involved. The Council’s Waste Management team will also be joining the fun, ready to answer questions about recycling and introduce residents to the new food waste collection service coming to Fylde.

Councillor Jayne Nixon, Lead Member for Tourism, Leisure and Culture, said: “We can’t welcome to welcome everyone back to Fairhaven for what promises to be a wonderful day out. Whether you’re taking to the water for the first time this year, exploring our stunning new Visitor Centre, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, there’s something for all ages to discover. Our friendly staff are ready to make it a day to remember!”

Fairhaven Open Day runs from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 29 March. Entry is free. Find out more at: https://www.discoverfylde.co.uk/events/fairhaven-open-day-2026/
