A UK Parliamentary Election will take place on Thursday 04 July 2024

To vote in the Parliamentary Election on Thursday 04 July 2024 you must be registered to vote by Tuesday 18 June 2024 (Midnight)

You can complete an application online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or if you are unsure if you are already registered to vote, you can email electoral@fylde.gov.uk with your name and address to check.

The Count will take place overnight on Thursday 04 July 2024 and the results will be published on this page.

Voter ID

If you vote at the polling station, you will need to bring photo identification. More information about Voter Id can be found here Voter ID – Fylde Council

If you do not have any Photographic identification, you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate online by Wednesday 26 June (5pm) Apply for photo ID to vote (called a ‘Voter Authority Certificate’) – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Voting by Post

Voting by post is an easy and convenient way of voting if you are unable to get to the polling station.

The deadline to apply for a postal vote or make changes to an existing postal vote arrangement is – Wednesday 19 June 2024, 5pm.

Voting by Proxy

Voting by proxy is an easy and convenient way of voting if you are unable to get to the polling station. The deadline for proxy voting is – Wednesday 26 June 2024, 5pm.

Nominations

Nomination packs will be available from the Elections office from The Town Hall. The pack will include essential information about the polls and key documents to complete and return, such as the nomination paper. The completed nomination paper must be to be hand delivered to the Returning Officer at The Town Hall, St Annes Road West, Lytham St Annes, FY8 1LW.
