An extension of the Kirkham Pool Disposal Plan with the YMCA was agreed at the Executive Committee to a backstop date of 17th February 2025.
It was decided the council would continue exploring all practical options for the provision of swimming in Kirkham following a comprehensive review by the Community Focus Scrutiny Committee on 29 October.
The Council has agreed to provide additional time and resources to collaborate with Wave Reach, the Community Interest Company (CIC) as they work towards a sustainable business plan for the pool’s refurbishment.
