Fylde Council is proud to celebrate the latest round of Community Projects Fund awards, with eight fantastic local organisations and an exciting new heritage initiative set to benefit from grants totalling £6,529.50.
The Community Projects Fund provides £20,000 annually to support voluntary, community and faith groups right across the borough, and this round backs a wonderfully varied mix of projects that reflect just how much is happening in our local communities.
Community Workshop Lytham CIC has received the maximum £2,000 grant to add two storage containers to its rapidly expanding workshop space, giving members more room to take on new projects and welcome even more people through the door. St Annes Cricket Club has also received £2,000, which will fund the installation of solar panels – a brilliant step towards a greener, more sustainable future for the club. Remake and Mend will use their £800 award to kit out green sewing sessions that give preloved fabric and clothing a second life.
Additional grants have been awarded to:
- Zumba Suzy (£612.50) – equipment to keep dance displays inclusive and accessible
- St Annes Football Club (£217) – equipment for walking football sessions
- Ansdell in Bloom (£300) – a scenic planter for the Woodlands Road tram stop in Ansdell
- Roots to Branches Forest School CIC (£300) – a shed for their children’s area
- Lytham Heritage Centre (£300) – supporting a new primary school art exhibition in February 2026, with prizes presented by the Mayor
A spokesperson for Fylde Council said: “”These awards are a wonderful reflection of the passion and creativity that makes Fylde such a special place to live. From cutting carbon footprints to nurturing young artists, every project funded through this round will make a real and lasting difference to our communities – and we couldn’t be prouder to support them.”
