Fylde has been a fair trade borough since June 2008.
We continue to work hard spreading the Fairtrade message to the people of Fylde and its schools, businesses, faith communities and community groups.Fylde Borough Council is pleased to support and facilitate Fairtrade across the Borough. Fairtrade and trading fairly is important to local people as well as internationally. In the UK producers are often undercut by cheap imports and have to lower their prices, often at the expense of jobs and the environment.
Shoppers can support fair local trade by buying goods direct from the producer or from local shops or farms.
