Eligible children can attend up to four sessions free of charge with any of the participating camps over the Easter holidays.
Following the success of the 2021 camps, Fylde Council is again offering free places on its Holiday Activity and Food programme this Summer for children who are eligible for free school meals.
The programme is funded by the Department for Education with the aim to provide healthy food and enriching activities to disadvantaged children in the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
This holiday provision is for school aged children from Reception to Year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals and other disadvantaged children.
Local organisations are hosting camps offering a wide range of activities including: seasonal arts and crafts, sports, fun group activities with food provided each day.
Summer holidays are from 22nd July till 31st August. Eligible children are entitled to 16 session over the 6 week holiday and will need to contact their schools for a code to register free of charge.

Description of camp activities: At the activity camps a variety of sports, such as dodgeball, archery, cricket, tag rugby and so on. Also, arts and crafts, wake and shakes, talent shows and dance. These will also receive visits from first team players during their time with us.
At the soccer school it is football and a look at all technical elements of the game. First team visits and stadium tours occur every week also.

A home visit must be carried out by an Activity Coordinator prior to a child attending as part of Play Inclusion Project’s referral process.
