Eligible children can attend up to four sessions free of charge with any of the participating camps over the Easter holidays.

Following the success of the 2021 camps, Fylde Council is again offering free places on its Holiday Activity and Food programme this Easter for children who are eligible for free school meals.

The programme is funded by the Department for Education with the aim to provide healthy food and enriching activities to disadvantaged children in the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.

This holiday provision is for school aged children from Reception to Year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals and other disadvantaged children.

Local organisations are hosting camps offering a wide range of activities including: seasonal arts and crafts, sports, fun group activities with food provided each day.

The programme of activities over the Easter holidays will begin on 4th April and run until 14 April.

Funded places for eligible children are available with the following activity providers: Fylde Rugby Foundation, AFC Fylde, Streetwise in Warton, Homestart at Lower Lane, Freckleton, Milligan & McCann Multi-Sports camp at AKS School in Lytham & Football Camp at Lytham High School, CN Active multi-activity camp at HeyHouses Endowed Primary School in St Annes, Evolution multi-activity camp at Medlar with Wesham Primary and Ribby with Wrea Endowed schools, Play Inclusion Project for children with additional needs and disabilities and for the first time for the HAF programme, two taster theatre days at the Lowther Pavilion studio theatre for young people aged between 11-16 years. The Streetwise camp is also for the first time offering a camp for older children 11-16 years.
